Bought this 05 Navigator used last august. Seems strange that it has a Norcold refrigerator LPG/120 volt unit in an all electric coach. Has anyone else run across such an installation? The norcold uses twice as much power as a house reefer to acomplish the same thing.

As far as I know and "all electric coach" will have NO propane tank on board and at least 4 extra batteries and inverter to run the refer
Norcold 1200 refer on 120 VAC will use only 450 watts when cooling.....not a lot compared to an electric compressor refer IMHO

Yes our Navigator does not have a propane tank and does have the extra batteries. So the Norcold four door reefer runs on 120v a/c all the time. Regarding the 450 watts: I find that hard to believe. 120 divided by 450 only equals about 3.75 amps. Not much when creating heat by making a dead short to heat a coil. But I have not read the specs yet so I'll tread lightly
