Hello Brothers and Sisters...I need a little help with my 07 Rambler Neptune radio.
my AMC XSA 5.1 Pro Sound Amplifier has died and moved on to a better place. I have the stock head unit ,the amp's power light is on but no sound at all. I have an audio signal to the inputs of the amp but nothing out . I pulled the cable out of the amp and plugged it in to the back of the tv's audio in,it works . is there a replacement amp ?Seems the audio from the radio is controlled by the amp ,so nothing to listen to when driving. I get sound to the bedroom speakers ,but it's too far away.If I upgrade to the new touch screen head unit will I still need the amp?

Thanks in advance
Wayne

I believe there is at least one fuse on this amp....and possibly more. Did you check the fuses??

update...there were two black modules attached to the back of the cabinet ,one was attached to the amp, the other I don't know where it goes , I had 12 volts to to the amp , I had tried another small equalizer from another project,it would not run on the power connection either. I removed the module and hooked back up to the amp ...wow that system sure puts out a lot of sound all of a sudden. It had a hum, I had read some other posts about the inline noise filter problems ,so i went to Radio shack and replaced it. Now I'm on to the next project.
