Another Battery Disconnect Solenoid Question

I have seen the threads on the problems with the battery disconnect solenoid and the pictures of how some have bypassed same. We are off on a month long trip so I bought the material to bypass ours if it fails. I have a question however, looking at the control wires to my solenoid I see a small circuit board that I haven't seen in other pictures. Here is a picture.

The red control wire goes to the board, the board is connected to the control terminal and then a white wire goes from the board to the other control terminal. What is this board? I know how to bypass the solenoid power side but what do I do with the control circuit?

I was told the circut board is to control the light on the switch. When I by-passed ours last month, I only connected the three battery cables together and left the small red wire and circut board intact. No problems since the bypass but the light on the switch is still on. That small red wire actually goes to the back of the solenoid. Not sure what the purpose is.

That small red wire goes around the back of the solenoid and connects to the switched side of the 12v coach battery supply. By splicing the wires together (depending on how you did it) you may have made that wire hot all the time. I would try simply disconnecting it from the relay post and see if that turns your switch light off. If not, try the white wire, too. See picture below. (Remember that the selonoid is mounted upside down on the board.)
