Another issue going on

[ATTACH]184459

[ATTACH]184460

For the past year I get these higher readings.

They start in the 20s then 30s and on up.

No excessive voltage found at the inverter or any place else.

Every now and then it goes back to normal readings.
?????

At first I thought it was cleansing the batteries?

Guess not.

John,

Make sure you don't have a florescent light with a noisy ballast. The readings you are seeing may be the result of electromagnetic interference or a noisy device somewhere on the DC system.

Hello Bob

I don't have any florescent lights in the coach.

As for a noisy device ?

And nothing is on 24-7 that I know of.

Maybe the Norcold.

At one time I saw a thread on these Monaco units.

But I can't find it now?

I replaced a RV-30D with this and it worked well for me. It is smaller and the wood panel would have to be altered.

I would check the wiring connections both behind the display and at the batteries.
Iver.

^^ What Topman said - no way the solar panel gets the actual battery voltage this high - if the voltage reading is correct it has to be "open circuit" - no load.

Bad wire/connection at the battery? Does a meter agree with the display?

The bottom picture shows the setting for solar.

It is accurate.
Today
With the sun shining it's reading 3.7

The chassis batteries setting and house battery settings are what's showing high.

They seem to be about the same.

From 30 to 70 readings.

A year ago they showed accurate for a time.

???

I pulled the unit out today.

All the wires look very good.

I had the house batteries
Out twice now checking wiring.

And I checked the inverter wires.

Solid

The ( only ) place that I am getting these readings is on this R-30

Update

I placed a meter on the red and Orange wires at the rear of the R-30 controller. Marked engine - house, They read correctly. 12.8 and 12.6
