MH is a 2009 Camelot 42 PDQ. I have wet carpet at the rear of the wardrobe slide, it leaks only when the slide is in. I have been in heavy rain with the slide out and there are no leaks. The seal appears to be tight all around. I was told that the slide could be "backing" out, so I am thinking of adjusting the cables. The manual states the motor for the wardrobe slide is in the top of the slide, it appears there is no adjustment on the bottom of the slide. The wood trim across the top valance is nailed on so I do not want to remove it if I cannot tighten the cables at the motor. Has anyone had experience in getting to the motor and adjusting the cables?
Thanks for any help.

The cover is not nailed on -- Several cabinet latches hold it on -- Slide a table knife between the facing & cabinet & pry off -- The motor & all cable adjustments are there -- Bill Willard

OK Bill, you made me look. On mine they pin nailed both the facia and the facia trim in place. Boo!

Hopefully, you will be able to make adjustments to tighten the slide against the sill gasket. I have a similar problem on an older Diplomat. It seems the slide doesn't make a snug fit against the side of the coach when it closes. Mine catches at the top first, then leans away from the top as the bottom moves tighter. At this point it leaves a small crack at the top of the slide where water can enter. So, I stop the slide just as it contacts the bottom edge and before the top moves away from the seal. Not a good solution, but at least it henders the water from entering the bedroom. Good luck with yours.

SRX Have you seen the water coming in around the seals? If not it might be getting in through the seams on the face of your slide out leaking under plywood and finding an opening to drip on carpet. When slide is out it could still be leaking under plywood but not finding its way into the unit.
