We have a 2007 Scepter quad slide. We've had problems with the front road side slide, the one with the refrigerator. First, day we brought it home, slide wouldn't go back in. Pushed it in, took to service facility. Monaco send an "upgraded" motor. Four months later, needed road service, axle for rear drive gear on that slide sheared. Returned to Monaco for servce, they replaced gear. Three months later, back to dealer, shearing bolts on drive shaft. Dealer replaced motor and reworked shaft, replaced gear. Two years later, sheared rear gear axle again. Service facility repalced gear and replaced bolts with hardened bolts. Six months later, shearing bolts again. Needless to say, we are really nervous about using this slide, afraid we'll get stranded without road service around to replace gear. Contacted New Monaco service and they said coach needed mini pin switches to prevent bolts from being sheared going in. Not sure if that will address the axle shearing when slide goes out. Looking for anyone else that may have had this type of problem with Monaco slides, and what their solution was.
