Hello folks,
New member here looking for some help. My wife and I recently (Sept. 09) purchased an 04 Holiday Rambler Imperial 40" which we absolutely love.
We just returned home from a weekend road trip and noticed the curbside slide seems to have shifted forward approx. a 1/4 of an inch as well as lower by the same margin. Once I noticed this I extended & retracted the slide several times with no change. Any input on what may have caused this & how to remedy it?
I've also noticed one of the 2 larger slides (drivers side) seems to struggle when initially extending but worse when retracting. It's to the point where I get a knot in my stomach when retracting for fear it won't close. I don't hear any noises such as a gear issue, it just seems like it's struggling for power. Any thoughts on this?

My thanks in advance!

You might try waxing the bottom and sides of the slide room. Use silicone spray lube on all tracks and gears. Use some slide seal conditioner/cleaner on the seals. This should help reduce friction.

There are documents for your slide that tell you how to check adjustment. My 02 Endeavor was way out of adjustment especially the drivers side and bedroom slide. They are pretty easy to adjust once you understand how they work. The idea of waxing and lubing is also the best thing you can do for your slides.

Thank you both for the responses. I will wax the sides & bottom as well as lube the tracks and gears.
Any idea where I can find these documents on the internet? I couldn't find anything in the motorhome and HR said they didn't have anything either. I would much prefer to do it myself if possible.

I have tons of docs that cover the HR slides. You can get them at Power Gear. If you cant locate them let me know and I will send them to you. Jimmyzw22@yahoo.com

Thanks again! I went to the sight & printed the documents. I'll give it a go this weekend and see how I make out.

Hey Jimmy
Is it normal for the slides to tilt in some at the top when they start out and complete the in operation. Mine seem to work out but it's always scary to see that tilt mode.

Yes, it is normal for the level floor slide to angle in a bit at the top before it totally levels out. My wife freaked out the first time we ran ours. And if you mess with the roller adjustment it gets worse. It all ends up good when fully opened or closed if your adjustments are correct.
