Had a recent ECM ( Cummins iSX ) update by authorized Cummins shop
a month ago.

Since then, ( while sitting in my driveway going nowhere ) my cruise
dash lamp is off and no horn ? Everything else works.
Chk'd every fuse on all systems in both frt & rear bays incl the Smartcruise
box 3 amp ( all good ).

In reading older posts/threads I think I read something about having the Smartcruise on while having the ECM updated ?

Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Bob, you need to go back to the guys that installed your ECM update and have them go in and check the setup and see if they turned it on. I had the same problem when I had my Detroit ECU replaced. Don't know about your horn.

Thks Mike
Yes, I agree this could be the problem which I will pursue with my Cummins when I get a chance to et y coach in there.

One more ? How will I know if my Smartcruise is on or off while they reflash it ?
I now get no light on the dash indicating the criuise is on.

My understanding is, the Smartcruise must be on when the ECM update is in progress ?

Cheers

That maybe that the Smartcruise has to be on. Each ECM/ECU setup is different. Not sure how the Cummins one is. On the Detroit they don't actually flash it they load the software from a laptop then the can setup all the parameters for the type of vehicle via the laptop. It is probably very simple but just a pain on that you have to take th MH back in.
