Good evening,
Has anyone been to this National Park. It looks unusual but not very visited. Always looking for new and intersting places to visit.
I see where they have a campground(Pinyon Flats)which they discourage anything larger then a 32 ft. rv but I think through another site about the park they could accomodate larger rvs. Just curious if any of you have stayed there?

I've created a shortcut to the Campground Info Forum. I'm sure you'll get lots of additional help under a more-generic heading.

I stayed there a few time & the last time was the end of July & when I arrived I got the last spot the would take my 28 foot MH.
The campground has 2 loops & there are not many sites that will take a 32 footer and it fills up by 4pm a lot during the summer & almost always fills up on weekends.
There is a Campground just outside the park that has full hookups it is Great Sand Dunes Oasis.

The NPS campground does not have a an RV Dump station.
Hope this helps.
Mike

We were there in 1976. I ventured out on the dirt bike while the wife and kids took a jeep tour.
