I've got a faily significant amount of water (about one cup every 5 minutes) dripping out of the hole in the bottom of the coach where the aqua hot exhaust pipe exits through the bottom of the coach (not at the end of the exhaust but where it comes out of the big silver AH box through the bottom)

I've checked all the lines that run past the A H and none of them are leaking.

No water in the bay where th AH sits. Drips with or without the A H turned on.

It does ONLY drip when there is pressure in the system. (ie: the pump turned on)

What do y'all think?

David

If this is coming from the pressure relief value just open the valve by flipping the lever and the valve should reseat. I had this same problem this summer. Not sure what model your aqua hot is but mine is on the back of the unit.

Oh for it to be that simple!!

I have an AHE-100-01s. My diagram says I will have to open up the front where the burner is. I'll let you know how it goes.

On mine the compression fitting on the cold water line attached to the tank inlet was leaking. Repeated tightening didn't stop it for long. I replaced the entire line with the kind used to run from the valve to the faucet in the average home sink or toilet. That was 3 yrs ago and it hasn't leaked since.

I found the pressure release, mine is a knob that you tighten or loosen. It was in the middle so I tried it in both directions with 10 minutes in between. Still leaked.

I don't think its the inlet because I can see that and the water isn't coming from there. My AH is a big box. You can access the front half where the burner, fuel lines, and water lines come in. Then all those lines dissappear to the back half of the box and you can't open that up (that I can see) That area is sealed accept where the 110v line goes in.

Looks like I'm gonna have to take this one in.

You might try this link HydronicRVHeating : Hydronic-RV-Heating to see if it would be of help. Also there is a member of this forum, (Roger Berke), that I believe is very knowledgeable on Aqua Hot.

Want to save a few $K-- my Aqua Hot had the same or worse leak this spring after we filled it from winter storage, they said it would have to be rebuilt/replaced at almost the cost of a new unit. I removed the fresh water lines from the AH and routed longer ones (later added my winter bypass kit) to the connections- (look for side mount water connections- mine is a Whirlpool) and mounted a small compact 120v 6 gallon AC unit in the bay just in front of my sewer service bay on the drivers side. I removed the AC line from the AH and added a winter/safety AC switch in series then to the new water heater. The cabin AC switch next to the Aqua Hot on/off, controls a relay to provide power to the AC element. With the switch in the service bay off, it prevents someone (think- wife!!) from accidently turning on the water heater when there is no water in the system and burning up the heating element. After 2 months this winter we couldn't be happier, all for under $300.

Don, there is NO danger of damaging an Aqua Hot system if it is used for heat when winterized and the fresh water to it is shutoff or drained. It will not damage the heating element because they always are in the boiler section which is always full of the 50/50 boiler antifreeze. If low on antifreeze then a there are several safety devices that will shut it down.
