Aqua-hot Boiler Fluid

Hi All,

The Aquahot radiator cap on my 2006 Beaver Patriot Thunder went bad and the system needs to be replenished. I canít even begin to see into the tank to check for color. The old radiator cap looks greenish, so I am guessing it was filled with Century, but does anyone know what the factory originally used?

Here is a link to Aqua-Hot's library page. Check for your type of fluid in the owners manual. You didn't mention your model # and I wouldn't begin to offer advice. Make sure you use the correct fluid.

Thanks, Dverstra.

I know the two fluid vendors aquahot appoves of, but they prefer the brands not be mixed. That is why I am trying to determine the brand that was likely used.

Aqua-hot Boiler Fluid

It is likely filled with pink fluid. What about the overflow tank? Should see the color in there. Do you know how old the fluid is thatís in it? If not it might be a good time for a complete flush and fresh fluid. Itís a bit of a job flushing the system but it may still be a good idea

Add distilled water until you can see the color of what's in the system. Then top off with 100% of the right color. You are correct in not wanting to mix the two colors.
This post is my opinion, worth what you paid for it.

You probably had an AHE 100 04S. It takes propylene glycol antifreeze and will have a "generally recognized as safe" FDA indication on it.

Camco sells a version, there is at least one other.

Given what you say about your unit, you will need a new cap, and you should drain and replace the antifreeze.

Do you have the manual? There is a user manual, but also a shop manual and parts manual.
