Aqua Hot Parts/Service in Western Canada?
Hello Fellow Monaco Owners,
We are located in mid-western Canada with our 03' Windsor. I'm wanting to do the annual maintenance on our AHE-100-02S.
Anyone know where I can get parts and if ever needed, service, for the aqua hot?
Any reputable places to order parts in Saskatchewan or Alberta ?
Are there any parts that I should order to keep on hand such as a zone pump, stir pump, rad cap, thermostat etc?
On another note, the Windsor really needs a new set of wiper blades. Are those only available directly from Monaco in the States?
Thank you in advance for your input,
Irishguy

John Carrillo RV Hydronic Heating Specialist ~ Heat My RV
I just bought a burner assembly (brand new) for a friends AHE-100
system on a 2002 Monaco from this guy he had a best price anywhere
as far as blades go find the size and type and just do a net search lots of suppliers out there

I ordered a couple of nozzles and filters directly from Aqua Hot. The filters they shipped me are made here in Canada, so I'll look around locally next time.

Alberta Coach & Chassis Ltd. is located 25km north-east of Edmonton. They are an authorized Aqua-Hot service center.
Steve, the owner, worked on our Hydro-Hot last year after it developed a severe leak in the system's drain that caused all of our boiler fluid to drain off. He replaced the broken plastic valve with a brass one that should outlast the coach. Ours' was an emergency repair, 4 months into a 5 1/2 month trip, and they squeezed us into their fully booked shop and had us on our way again just a few hours later. Our repair, other than the deductible, was covered by our extended warranty and they billed the insurance provider directly.
Finding their location was a little unsettling as they are located out in the country on a farm. It's not until you get there and see all the class A motorhomes that you're sure you are at the right location.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to order some parts from them. It's unfortunate we live in Southern Saskatchewan where it appears there is no one anywhere near that could repair a problem that is beyond my ability.
What model of Aqua Hot do you have? I have read on here before of the plastic drain plug failure issue. I'm wondering if ours has the plastic one as well.

Thanks Wideglide,
Was it a big hassle and cost to get parts from the States?

Ours is a Hydro-Hot HHE-500 from before the company changed its name to Aqua-Hot. Basically the same thing just a different age.
If you think it's difficult finding a service shop and parts in southern Sask., imagine what it was like for us when the problem arose while in the Northwest Territory along the north edge of Wood Buffalo National Park.

Sure marine in Seattle works on the Webasto burner unit. They have nozzles and other parts related to the burner for very reasonable prices. I had my unit serviced there and was happy.

When the AH 450 in our Dynasty was having trouble I gave up trying to find someone that stocked any parts. Ended up going 100 miles off our route to Minneapolis. Went to a mobile repair guy. He knew the system and had me fixed up in less than 2 hours. Parts were in stock and cheaper than online! I don't trust most of the Canadian repair shops. Parts are usually OEM plus 100%. We are in Manitoba.

no doubt AH parts are sparse and expensive in canada because its not something there is a lot of .As far as shops go in general there 10 times better in Canada and a lot more honest than any American shops I have been in or seen.
AH products all come out of the us.

Hi,
When it. Comes to blades I just use 28 inch wiper blades rather than the 30 or 32 inch that came with the coach. Buy at Costco, Napa or any auto store. Also for the pressure cap on your AquaHot take it to any auto store and they will match it to an in stock item. Can't comment as to what other parts that you need to stock, but the only parts we have replaced on our 11 year old AquaHot is the control box and the coil. And the coil was A WAG that we didn't really need.

I have a really good mobile RV guy in Calgary, but Saskatchewan is a bit off his path. If you are over here and have time to book (he is good so also very much in demand) Darren Edwards - Little D RV is the best I've seen other than the guys at Elite RnR in Harrisburg OR, and all they work on are Monaco coaches.
