We started out on our trip today and a Signature followed us for about 10 miles, got on the freeway behind us, and passed us in the first 5 miles. We then "caravaned" for the next 120 miles until we reached Quartzsite, I slowed down for some crosswind, and the Signature pulled away from us. Well, I guess it's possible that I was the only one who knew we were "caravaning", but I had their backside in case they needed me. It was a really neat way to start our trip because as they passed us, I waved and the female passenger waved back enthusiastically like she knew us. We both had Monaco motorhomes and we both were displaying out FMCA plaques. Ours with number 24667s and theirs with National Director. I'm going to look for them at the Monaco Pre-Rally and introduce myself. (Maybe she was waving like she knew us because we had our iRV2 sticker in the back window?? Ya think?)

We traveled about 4-5 hours today and arrived at Outdoor Resorts in Indio without a problem. It was a nice drive and we love the way our La Palma handles. It makes me wonder how the other Monaco MHs ride and will probably give one a spin at the rally.

First, we live at a very nice RV & Golf resort, but this resort is very new and very nice. MHs only, lots of grass and water. We took a quick look in the canal, but did not see any fish! Tomorrow we may wet a fly line. However, with all the rules they have here they may run us off if we try to fish in their canal!

It's very peaceful here, with a little construction in the area where the owners are building what they can - small structures and outdoor living facilities. I will take more photos and post them in my album page. Here is one photo and the link to my Outdoor Resorts Album.

Hi Mick,
Yes, there are fish in the canal. They're sunfish/bluegill. I had my flyline all ready to toss into the canal when Jo saw me and put a stop to it for fear of looking like the "Beverly Hillbilly's".
If you decide to buy a lot, get one for Jo and I.
Have fun.

Tom
