Articulating Arm Question

About the articulating arm? We did the same thing over a year ago, but found when moving the TV and arm swing out, we put velcro and that still didn't work? So have it tied down with bungies (horrible). But, what we did in the bedroom when mounting the flat screen was cut a piece of board to fit the opening and mount with a wall mount, you can't even see the board. We are thinking of doing the same thing in front, and finish the edges off and trim. Unless, someone can think of a way for the arm to stay in place while traveling?
