I wasn't sure where to put this as this rig is a B+.I have some friends that have a 2 y/o Augusta and this weekend,on the way home from camping with us,they tried to put gas in their tank and it ran all over the ground. I looked underneath and found the 1" line was split between the tank pipe and the filler line.Drove it back to the campground and after quite a battle,it was undercoated,I got it off and found it was also worn where it had rubbed on the return vent line.I tried to get a replacement line and found that Monaco had heated one end of a 1" fuel line and forced it onto a 1 1/4" line,so I wasn't able to get a replacement.I got a plastic plug and plugged one end of the rubber line and we got them home.
I took a really good look at their set-up and could not believe how they had cheaped out the whole installation.Has anyone seen this,or mebbee is there a bulletin about it.If their tank had been full and started sloshing, then it would have possibly caused a fire.

I guess I'm not surprised. My HR fill line and rubbed a hole in the side of it because they cut a hole in the chassis to run the fill line through, but never put anything around it to protect the hose. Of course, the shop that repaired it for the previous owner just stuffed in another new hose to rub away. Duh! Anyway, I remediated it. There are just some things on these coaches that seem to be an afterthought. It's like a guy building a really nice hot rod with a 20k paint job, but then stuffing a gas tank from pep boys in it after the fact.
