I leave mine on for 3 to 4 months at times.
It certainly doesn't hurt anything.
Is it necessary?
Probably Not.

Welcome to the forums !

Lesson number 1 is don't post your questions on someone elses thread as it is frowned upon. Start your own thread and you are sure to get more responses and it is less confusing.

Lesson number 2 is Always tell us what brand and model coach and or accessory you are working on. There are rarely specific answers that apply across the board.

The Aux air compressor on our Valid system was so noisy I almost never left it in Auto level. The Aux air compressor on our HWH system is so quiet I leave it on 24/7. Once I worked out all the issues I'm a big fan of HWH systems.

It is loud!

It will wake me up at night, and it's way up under the floor, in front of the door!

Guess I am a rebel, I never ever use my auto level. I always like to do whatever I need to do myself so the front step is lowest possible while leveled. The auto system just lowers whatever is high first...
That and I level till the shower and bathroom doors stay open or wherever I put them.
My little compressor has long since locked up so it does not work. Guess I should follow example and install a new one and move it indoors
