Auto Transfer Switch Delay in connecting shore power to the coach

Hello, Just arrived today at Malstrom AFB campground. Plugged into 50 AMP power. As normal, I was watching my Progressive Industries surge protector run through initial self check procedures. After indicating no errors, I awaited the click where it transfers shore power to the coach. No click. Shut off breaker, checked fittings on power cord and proceeded to reconnect. Again no click. On the third or forth try I waited longer, approximately 5 minutes. Click, power transferred to coach. We have been dry camping at Glacier NP for 6 days using only the generator. Has anyone experienced this situation. I am thinking sticky contacts in the auto transfer switch. Has anyone cleaned these contacts? If so, what's the procedures? Thanks

Dave I think you will have a Iota transfer switch and they are not that reliable, a good replacement for it is a Esco ES50M-65N, this is a good reliable transfer switch, ESCO does make a cheaper one at about $150 or less but I would stick with the one I listed at about $200.
