Are the 4 ducts in the front ceiling controlled by the switch? Does this replace the open fans found in other units? Is this for the windshield or for the driver and passenger? Is it for cooling or heating? Thanks for any answers!

There shoud be a two speed switch on your dash. The fan is a squirrel cage behind the TV and is for the windshield.

Don,

Does your unit have these fans? Our 2006 does not have anything other than the defrost vents at the bottom of the windshield. Guess we got the cheap version Diplomat, or as my Dad would say, the stripped down version. So far I have had to add the satellite dish, wash/dryer, Sanicon, and water hose reel.

I have the defrost vents at the bottom of the windshield as I'm sure everyone has, but these are four adjustable vents above them on the ceiling at the top of the windshield. I don't see any type of fan behind the TV. I just wondered if they took the place of the fans you see on some RV units (and in commercial truck tractors).

Guess I have the "stripped" down version as well. I only have the defrost vents at the bottom of the windshield.

My Beaver, also built by Monaco, has the four vents in the ceiling above the dash as well. They are there to help defrost the top half of the windshield. On mine there is a 3 speed rotating switch to the right of the heater/air conditioner control panel.

I guess I should have mentioned.....I added the Monaco fan and vents several years ago. My local dealer happened to order the VERY expensive squirrel cage fan and no one bought it. I got a good deal on it. The switch was already wired in and hidden under the dash. The dash also has a cut out for it etched on the back side of the (generator, radio) panel.
