Awning not Working
Have checked the fuses in Bay under driver seat, all good. Other than the rocker switch, where else would I check?

Somewhere near the motor of the awning the wires connect. I'd check there also. Maybe use a meter and have a helper press the switch and see if you're getting power to the motor.
If not, then work back to the switch. Could be the power line. Could be the switch. If not then you don't have power going to the switch.
Mine has a key near the button. I've occasionally forgotten to turn that key.

Our awning quit working so I got the ladder out and pulled the plug from the awning motor at the coach. Full of water. blew it out, plugged it back in and it worked. Although it was slow, still is, but I think its a groung problem.

I was getting ready to leave a campground a few years ago and had the engine warming up / building air pressure. I the tried to retract my awning and guess what? Awning would not retract....
Just when I was starting to panic wondering how I was going to figure out how to manually retract the awning, my better half reminded me to look at the owners manual.
Found very quickly that the awning has no power to it with the key on...
Im pretty sure this is not your issue but its sure easy to overlook small detail with these complicated rigs.
Good luck getting it figured out and working again. Brian

Last summer my wind sensor went bad. My awnings would not extend. I by-passed the sensor and now all is well. I need to replace the sensor.

I had a heat vent, just above the awning switch, out for access behind it. There is an inline fuse back there. Didn't see if it was for the awning but keep it in mind if it stopped working.

I just went through the same problem on my 2008 Monaco 40 PDQ. Ready to break camp and the awning wouldn't retract. After much time spent checking wiring, voltages with my meter, switch operation, etc., it turned out the motor was bad. Believe it or not I was able to tap on the motor with a hammer and got it to slowly retract the awning. I've learned that sometimes with DC motors you can tap on them when they are going bad to get a little more use out of them. From my Internet research info from the Heartland owners forum found out you can us a window lift motor from GM instead of buying the $200+ motor replacement from Carefree. Found a replacement on Amazon - "Diften 125-A0738-X01 - New Window Motor Driver Left Side Rear Cutlass Olds Chevy LH Hand GM1556102" is the motor description that is a direct replacement for my Carefree Awning motor. Cost is $36.92. Just installed the new motor and it works great.

Can you tell me what model of carefree awning.
I just picked up MH with carefree onetouch. There is a spare board, cord. plug ends.drive strap..other strap? The seller told me it was iffy sometimes.

It's called the Carefree Travel'R awning and I have the Series 1. Also discovered the same motor on Ebay " New OEM DELCO Power Window Lift Motor 12 tooth Buick Cadillac Chevy Olds Pontiac" is the description for $29.50.
