The image can be reversed under one of the menu's. We have ours reversed on purpose so that when I glance down at the monitor the cars approaching on the passenger side of the coach appear on the right side of the monitor. That may not be true to the camera image but I don't face the rear while I am driving so I like things moving up on my right side to be in the right side of the monitor.

As for when you are backing up and the wife is out back directing you, don't look in the video monitor, look in your mirrors. If she is behind the coach then she should move out to one of the sides. You should be able to see her in your mirror. If she moves out of view in the mirror then stop backing until she gets back into view. She will quickly learn to stay where she can see the mirror.

Video images for backup cameras are generally reversed so the image appears the same way it does in a mirror. The assumption is your brain is "trained" to that response. It can generally be changed in either the system or on the monitor settings themselves.

Glad you got it to work. While I am at it have you noticed how inconvenient it is to look at down in the console? Long story short, I pulled mine from the dash and mounted it on a Ram Mount so it actually has the bottom edge at the level of the top edge of the dash. Now it is really in my line of sight. Yes there was a hole in the dash but a new radio replaced that space and the lower area was filled in with new material. I also moved one of my AC vents that was next to the steering column to the center console. Great improvement is being able to use the radio, backup monitor, and better AC comfort.

Those dash mods sound interesting.

Any chance you could post or PM some photos?

Thx

YC1, I would also be very interested in your modifications... You have the exact same coach that I have. Thank you for your work and ideas.

This was quite a chore to accomplish posting a picture with notes. I used Adobe, then Snagit to capture it and then save it as a jpg. Any tips for annotating a jpg would be welcome.

I have several other pictures to upload if this works.
