I'm trying to sort out the best way to run a heat duct from my propane furnace into the fresh water and holding tank section of the basement of our 1999 Diplomat. Anyone done that? Any Ideas?

If you pull the small vent off the front of your shower and look inside you will see a very large hole that goes into the service bay. Air will fall to the service bay from the living area. I have no idea if it is enough to keep things there from freezing. You could use an automotive type drop light with a 60 - 100 watt bulb in the service bay and do the job very well.

As to reaching the service bay from the heater, I doubt that would be possible unless you went under the floor and through the basement. They you would need to insulate the ducts. The furnace may not be large enough for this extra heat.

I just saw a 12 volt heater on sale at Menards for around $10.00. This should do the trick nicely. You could wire in a a 12 volt thermostat in the line to set it to go on when needed. Seems like an easy fix. Wolf
