If I shut off the battery cut off switch next to the entry door on my 06 Knight, will the coach batteries still charge if its plugged into shore power?

The short answer is yes. The battery cutoff switch near the door, sometimes called the Salesman Switch, cuts off most of the DC systems in the motorhome but the inverter/charger is still connected to charge the batteries. Unless you have made other provisions the chassis batteries will never charge from the inverter but are charged by the engine alternator. Most of us have added a device to allow the chassis batteries to charge from the inverter while the motorhome sits and is plugged to shore power.

I installed a trik L start on my RV and the chassis batteries are always maintained. They also make a unit for keeping your toad battery charged when towing, put one of those on recently too.

LSL Products - Electronics for Recreational Vehicles

I know other companies make them, these have worked for me and fairly reasonably priced.
