I got almost 10 years out of my U-2200's. When I went to replace them I got the GC-2 Interstates since Interstate made the original U-2200's. That was in the previous rig, this one takes 4-8D Lifelines at almost $700 each.

I think that's a interstate GC2 6v deep cycle. Costco has one for about $85 each. Many folks using them. I have six about 2 years old and doing great. We dry camp often.

I believe this is a 6v, "golf cart" battery. The most commonly used brands are Interstate and Trojan. Trojans are more expensive and, depending on who's commenting, arguably better. Interstate batteries are available at Costco and, I believe, Walmart (and other stores).
Here are a bunch of posts for you to peruse if you want more info:
https://www.google.com/search?q=u220...earch=irv2.com
This is one of those perennial discussions that's never resolved, kind of like "what's the best RV tire?" In reality, you'll be fine with either brand. I've been using Interstate batteries and haven't had any problems.

Sams Club Handles Dura Cell Battys made by East Penn.
FLA 6V GC2s run around $85 Ea - $170 for a pair.
They alkso carry AGM GCs for about 2X that $.
I've had both FLA & AGM East Penns and satisfied.
Sams, Costco usually the lowest $/AH w/ Interstates close behind.
There are higher rated GCs but you will pay significantly more.

I use four AGM 250ah batteries. They just fit below the engine battery rack.
About $300 apiece 306 lbs for the four.

Whatever brand you purchase, get s sealed battery you don’t have to continually adding water. I prefer agm, although they are more expensive but will outlast lead acid by a wide margin.

I like the 6 volt G2C golf cart batteries from Costco. The reason is that they are tough and hard to destroy. I purchased my MH 3 years ago and the house batteries were 3 new walmart 12 volt batteries. They leaked all over my battery compartment and would not hold a charge for more than 4 days. I have to admit I am new to this lifestyle and killed those batteries. Since I purchased two 6 volts, I have not had a problem with the house. I disconnect the batteries when in storage and I added a watering system that I just squeezed a bulb and water is added to the batteries. I do not let them fall below 50% before recharge. I plan to add another bank in the near future. I found a battery box that will hold 4 of theses for another 420 amp hours.

Ive been researching batteries to replace mine and have decided on Crown or Lifeline. Get AGMs to save you maintenance hassles.

Don't mind swishing a bit of water to my Trojans every month or so. Living in a technical world allows us choices, and we CAN live far better that the kings of old.

Replaced my interstates at 12 years. I replaced with interstates. No need to mess with a good thing.
