Battery replacement
We are getting ready for our summer long trip to Alaska. One of the items was to get the house batteries load tested. Did that today and all 4 look to be bad. So now the dilemma do we go with the Interstate CG2 220 AH at $129.00 or the Sams club Energizer CG2 220 AH at $78.00. Looking for opinions so I should get a lot of answers. Any opinions based on facts would be great.

You probably have the Interstates now and they lasted 6 years. I replaced mine last year and went the the Interstates again because they gave me good service. I have no facts to back up anything, I just went with what worked well. I also called around for the Interstates and got one dealer to knock off a few dollars per battery because I was buying six. I replaced the starting batteries too.

When I replaced the batteries in our motor home a couple years ago, I went with Interstate batteries. Guess that I want to deal with some place that 'knows' about batteries. I know that SAMS club and Costo have some good prices, but I also want service. Remember to replace all of the batteries in that system, other wise you could end up with an unbalanced system.
itDave, when are you coming to Alaska and what are your plans? Being that I have lived here for 42+ years and the wife for 55+ years, we might be able to share some ideas on where to go and what to see.

I got 9½ years out of my Interstate U-2200's. There aren't any Sams clubs here but Costco has some that are comparable.
Decided that the Interstates were the way to go again. Paid 113.00 each.

I used this to learn more and bought the $78.88 Sam's golf cart batteries.
The 12volt Side of Life (Part 1)
They aren't something that I get serviced regularly, so price won.

I replaced my batteries at New Years and got the Energisers from Sam's.
We did leave the US 4 days ago but I had the opportunity to test the new batteries for 3 months, and I have no complaints on the Energiser's so far. In fact, they have preformed better for me than the originals.
Obviously I can't tell how they will preform in years to come, but right now I have absolutely no regrets at all.

I would get the interstate CG2 XHD they are a little better than the standard CG2
and the measurements about the same. Price is almost the same.
Great battery

Some Costco's carry the Interstate's and about the same price as the Sam's Club units. A no brainer! We installed 6 in our Bluebird and when my Dynasty batteries are gone I will buy 8 of the Interstate's.
