I bought Lifeline batteries based on the recommendations I received on this forum. Lifeline Batteries - Marine & RV Deep Cycle Batteries

Well, the best depends on if you want Flooded Wet Cells (TROJAN) or AGM (Lifeline) however... Before you lay your money down ask yourself this:

How much better than #2 are they?

Now... I've not done a price/service life comparison on Lifeline v/s say MK or Deka or other AGM brands So I can not even guess how that will turn out.

But I have done one on Trojan v/s Interstate.. And though you often can find One (or the other) on sale and this will skew the results big time.. I often feel that Interstate or even Sam's Club is the better buy.. May not last as long, but.....

If you can get 80% of the life for 50$ (or less) of the price............

Just went to Sam's Club here in Atlanta and they have Energizer GC-2 6 volt deep cycle 220 amp batteries for $74 each. They are guaranteed for one year. I also priced the Interstate U2200 battery with the same specs and they are $103 each. Both of these batteries are made by Johnson Controls.

The best price I can get on a Lifeline AGM is $275 plus shipping. That is a three to one price ratio.

If you change from AGM to Lead Acid or Lead Acid to AGM then make sure you reprogram your charger and solar panel controller.
