Beaver with electrical shortage

Have a 2008 Beaver Marquis. It has been in outside storage for last 4 months. Not plugged in. Went to start today. Got it started but....no dash functions. Have air pressure (brakes work). Can't move vehicle as it is bagged down and will not come up off the bottom. Coach batts are dead. Have them out getting them charged now. Questions.... will dead coach batteries keep coach air bags from airing up? Will dead coach batts affect dash gauges etc? Absolutely no power in bus with exception of engine will start. Generator will not start either. Any help is appreciated.

chances are the batteries are toast as they probably go depleted down to nothing during the last 4 months. Depending on which type of leveling you have, but I believe my Valid system needs battery juice to get coach up to ride height. Your genny probably starts on those batteries as well.

I think once your get the batteries back in, or new batteries, a lot of these issues will go away, hopefully.

There is probably an air supply fitting that you can use an external pump to put air in the tank. You should be able to air up the bags if you do that. In my Monaco, there are two fittings, one in the bay with the propane tank and the other in the slide out generator compartment. I'm sure your's also has it since it would be needed in the event your brakes are locked due to no crank issue. The only problem with my scenario is; the engine should pump the air up.

Problem resolved. Windsorbill was correct. I have the Valid system as well. It takes power to get it up off the bottom, not just the air pressure which I did have. I replaced the 4 megabatteries with 8 Trojan 105s for about 950 exchange. It required very little new cableage as old cable setup was able to reach to new battery posts. Once I got the batteries replaced, it started and came right up once I turned the Valid panel on.

I will use chassis disconnect in future to avoid this problem. While I was replacing the batteries, I found a rotary disconnect switch on the aft wall of the battery compartment. Never knew it was there before this adventure.
