Sounds terrible and is of no concern, it just doing its job.

I had heard from someone else that there was a clutch but wasn’t sure since I hadn’t tore into it yet. Time to open it up and inspect it. Will be adding the access hole like you’ve done also.

Looks like the same gear they use in a number of places .

There is a vendor online ( e bay ) who has to advertise as an RV 18/1 slide drive gear replacement to avoid conflict with Lippert .

Measurements are the same , but gear is all plastic. I've replaced a couple for friends and they work fine.

WHY??? From a Customer Satisfaction point of view Lippert doesn't offer this gear for $10/15 is WAY beyond me.

Thanks Mark and Happy.

EDIT; I have only one slide almost full length of coach, just in case you didn't know.
Larry-

Color me red for embarassment!

I should have known from the coach model listed in your signature that your coach's bed is not on a slide. Doh!

My bedroom slide motor and clutch assembly is a Power gear part #DN14666 and is not available from LCI, does anyone have a recommendation as to where I can have it rebuilt or replaced? Living in Mesa this winter.

I found this which interchanges a few numbers. Many that might interchange listed on eBay. Not sure what they mean by base #?

Power Gear Slide Out Motor 522787S
Also known under part# 522787
Also known under Lippert part number: 386186
Base# DN13826
Single Shaft
Approximate Amperage: 20A
Replaces Part# / Base#:

Part# 522787 / Base# DN14666

I feel your pain. Happened to me more'n once - I'd read about someone's issue on here, and I'd go out to look and darned if mine isn't broken too!

Hope you get it solved... quickly.

I have obtained various slide-out, landing gear, gears from this company. Call them they are very helpful. The gear box might have come from them.
