I have a 2005 Dynasty Diamond IV plan. I know it is prewired for a ceiling fan in the bedroom and I would like to install one. I am guessing that Monaco probably drilled a hole in the plywood that is under ceiling covering and it is now covered over as the ceiling fan is an option and was not requested for this coach. Again, my guess is, if I can find this (probably small hole) I can find the wiring that is probably there as well. I tried my logic and pushed up on the ceiling covering slowly working through the areas I thought it might be, in an attempt to find it or any indication of such. But was unable.

So, is there anyone out there with the same plan with a ceiling fan that they might be able to take a few measurements from a couple of known point so I might try to find it without making a mess of my ceiling?

I have to believe that other models beside dynastys probably have a similar layout, as I know Monaco tried to standardize their grids as much as possible across the lines of coaches they built.

So, any body with a Dynasty, Executive, Navigator or a Signature should have the exact same layout out or placement of the fan. My wiring book references them all.

So, any help any one has on this would be great.

Thank you in advance.

Zbugsii.....One thing Monaco has been very good at doing is placing the wires where theycan reasonably be located. If you have a ceiling light anywhere near where you think the fan should be, drop the light and look under for the additional wires.

Is there a light in the center of the room that may have been designed to be an either or.....light or fan?

Yes, it is four slide and yes, any information on the location would be great. If you could provide a couple of general measurements from a couple of different points... say from rear AC unit, vents, side walls and anything else that would help, that would be great.

Thank you

Here are the dimensions. Keep in mind that locations often vary from unit to unit. Most factories do not use jigs or a layout plan for exact locations.

From ct. of fan to trim for bathroom door 30",ctr. of fan to ctr. forward AC vent 13.5".tr. of fan to ctr. of AC air inlet 17.5". Fan is inline with ctr. width of forward AC outlet.

You will probably have to go on a fishing expedition to find the wire. I doubt there will be hole. Maybe if you remove the AC outlet you might find the wire. How will you control the fan? Is the switch on the wall? I think that fan is a special close to the ceiling fan not like anything from HD. BTW: When we bought the unit I thought a ceiling fan was useless. WRONG! We use it all the time.
