Bedroom slide motor running but slide not moving

We hear our bedroom slide motor running when we push the switch, but no movement of the slide. 02’ Monaco Windsor PBD38 With 2 slide outs. It seems to me that the gear is rotating but not catching the teeth? Right now the slide is in closed position. I’ve tried in the travel mode and after leveling the coach. Anyone else ever run into this problem before?
Thanks, Mike

Send a message via ICQ to Ivylog
Sometimes it’s a sheared pin and sometimes it’s the plastic teeth on the reduction gear.

I haven't had that problem but I have had the bed apart and you will need to
disassemble yours some too before you can get at the mechanism .
I believe you can get to the motor and mechanism by just removing the cover
panel located under the mattress at the head .
There is a coupling to the motor that is most likely the problem

If you look in Quick Tips and Mods on page 77 the down starting with post 1072
you will see some pictures of the bed construction . The motor is barely visable.
You wont need to disassemble to the extent shown there .

Ok here is an even better thread showing exactly what I think you have .

May have dodged a bullet on this one! The bedroom slide driveshaft coupler had come loose and worked its way over. As I was feeling up underneath (slide is in retracted position) I could feel the coupler was loose. I moved it over and was able to run the slide out, exposing the motor and shaft. tightened the bolts and she seems to be working fine. Thank you all for your help!
