Bedroom slide studders

We have a 2004 Camelot PBDD with two curb side slides. I just finished putting guardian plates on both slides. The bedroom slide has always been a little troublesome coming in and going out. Now that the plates are on it's even worse. What it does is when the motor is loads up just a very little it cuts off like a circuit breaker or relay is kicking it off. If I hold my finger on the switch it pauses for a couple of seconds and starts up again and goes in or out (whichever way I am running it at the time) until it hits another rough spot. I have replaced all the rollers under the bed and the slide and also put metal plates on the bottom of the bed frame as the original rollers were starting to dig into the wood. It's really not a huge deal. All I have to do if it's going out is to exert a little pressure with my legs and push on the bed frame as it's going out or go outside and push it in as my wife holds the switch. I believe it's just a weak relay or self correcting circuit breaker that may be weak. When it does happen the motor does not seem like it's in a huge bind. Should also mention all my batteries are fully charged and in good condition along with good connections at the cable ends. Also checked to drive motor under the bed....the connection there is good as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

BigLar368-

If you watch the slide moving along its track, do you see any binding? It's supposed to roll freely. I know when I adjusted the rollers I had to check that I didn't raise, lower or pitch the slide in such a way as to cause the slide rail to bind. In particular, if you have fixed a "beaver chew" situation, I'd look to see if the inboard end of the slide is now a bit high.

I cleaned under the bed real good. Before I put the guardian plates on I put the plates on the bottom of the bed and replaced all 4 sets of rollers as they are all the same. The ones under the bed are as low as they will go. I might try lowering the ones on the wall under the slide. I had to raise them a bit to make the graphics line up and that may be what's making it bind a little more. I did roll the slide in and out before putting the guardian plates on after replacing the rollers and bed plates and it did not bind near as much.

Well I think I may have found the problem. I found the controller board for the slide outs with the relays on board. I pulled the 25A auto reset fues and it tested ok. I put it back in an it has worked almost flawless since. I think maybe there was a tiny bit of corrosion or maybe it just had wiggled a bit loose and just made a bad connection. Anyways I ran it out four or five times and it worked well every time. I wish all my fixes were this easy...lol.
