Beeping Alarm

Hearing a very quiet beeping alarm from driver side dash area only when extrmely wet weather. Might be from the transmission pad area. A little like the low air alarm but quiet.
Coach is a 2004 Monaco Diplomat.
330 ISC Cummins.
Allison 6spd.

Thanks for any advice.

Common problem. Search this forum for discussions on this issue. It is caused by a sending unit getting wet.

My Coach had this problem. Could not determine if it was the oil sending unit or the air sending unit that was getting wet. Sealed both with RTV and the problem has not happened again.

JA XY gave you good advice but what you are looking for on the front air tank is a little round hockey puck looking deal ( low pressure alarm) just wash the road scum off dry and seal with RYV

Very easy fix I had the same problem. The alarm only goes off when driving in wet conditions. The alarm starts off as an extremely slight pulsating beep and gets louder as you continue to drive in the rain. The alarm is coming from the left side of the dash lower. If you look under the dash you can see the alarm pad buzzer. This is a secondary alarm.

What needs to be done is clean the connections to the following:

1) Fuel sending unit on top of the fuel tank
2) Air tank sensors on each tank and coat the sensors with grease to protect from corrosion. Also the seams on the sensor coat with urethane.
3) Jack wire harness connectors at the pump.
4) Alternator connections.
5) Oil sending unit connectors
6) Temperature sending unit connectors.
7)Lower coolant sensor connectors on the coolant tank.

Be sure that all spade connectors go on tightly.

What is happening is there some connector that is loosing continuity. Which is causing the secondary alarm to go off.

Go to a good electronic supply store that sells to ham radio and TV repair supplies. Ask for a spray that cleans electrical connectors. Cost about $20.00 per spray can but cleans connectors and connector pins inside plugs.

There is another alarm that that will go off when shifting from neutral to reverse and or drive and will go off only for a few seconds. It is the switch/sensor under the air brake switch on drivers console.

If all fails disconnect the alarm at the buzzer.

Thanks Robert! I'm not having that problem now but that's great info to have!

I had the same problem on an 04 Diplomat, now have the problem with an 08 Contessa. Best solution is to not travel in the wet.
