Best fresh water hose?
Ok, my 8 year old white hose on the fresh water reel finally bit the dust a few months back, so I changed it. I put on a new white drinking water safe neverkink.
It tasted terrible. Real rubbery taste. I put on another one recently, not, this is not an easy job on this coach. This one tastes worse! I think this was a Camco hose this time.
Any recommendations on which one WON'T taste or smell aweful? It needs to be 1/2" x 25' thanks in advance

Did you try running water thru it for a while. I feel like all new hoses will have a funny taste for a bit.

I did...but wife reminded me we've only had this hose for 3 weeks. Last one was 4 months and never got better.

This is the hose I installed. Identical to the one I pulled off the reel.
No odd taste or problems. I sure wouldn't want to change it again!

To get rid of the taste from the hose, put your blue water filter on the coach side of the hose. Experience taught me that one.......

Pretty much everyone I've ever talked to has told me this is the best. I have not ordered one yet, so I have no first-hand experience.

Hose Reel? What brand of hose reel does Monaco install? That's about the only option my coach doesn't have on it, and wished it did. If anyone could tell me a name brand or model number, I would really appreciate it. Pictures would be a plus!

How do you know it's the hose that's causing the problem?
I suggest running water through the hose and drinking it right out of the hose to make sure that's where the problem is coming from.

The original hose (blew up) didn't have a taste.

It is not one of the accordion-type hoses. It has a rubber inside that expands outward against the fabric cover. It is very flexible when collapsed and rolls up easily.
