Just wanted to thank everyone who helped me out with some of the issues that I have been having over the past few months. I am probably one of the younger owners around here at 38 and I really do appreciate the help, knowledge, and experience that so many of you brought to the table. Owning a Class A rig has always been a dream of ours and thanks to the poor economy we were finally able to afford that dream since the price of used coaches dropped so much last year. While 26K was a lot of coin for us, it was a steal for what we got in return. Our HR Endeavor has been a blast so far and now we are ready to really put her to the test. Along with my wife and 2 boys (ages 8 & 12) we are taking off for a 5 week cross country adventure. We will be going from NY to California with stops at Yosemite, Zion, Moab, Canylonlands, Lake Tahoe etc....I am confident in the coach. The only concern that I have is towing our 4 door wrangler over the big uphills. I will deal with that when I come to it. Thanks again for your help. Happy trails.

Have a great time but man are you going to put in the windshield time. Seven thousand miles in five weeks is truly aggressive as well as tiring. Are you planning to drive 12-14 hours some days so you will be able to spend a day or so at your various stops. Sorry...I just remembered, you're just a youngster.

Keep us posted on your travels and be safe.

Just remember to go up the hills by downshifting to keep the RPMs up so the engine does not get too hot, and go down in the same gear you topped the hill in. Use the engine brake and downshifting going down to control speed. If the service brakes are needed, do not ride them, press them hard to get the speed down and get off them.

Safe travels

evotech......You picked a lot of great places to visit. You'll love Yosemite. If you come into the park via Hwy 41 through Fresno, you'll traverse a long tunnel as you enter the Yosemite Valley. It's an old rounded metal tunnel that looks really low on the sides and if it's your first time you'll think you're going to hit. You won't. Immediately at the end of the tunnel, is a parking lot on the right. Stop here for pictures. It gives you a complete view of the valley.....unbelieveable!

Once there, make sure you take a trip to the top of Glacier Point. You can drive there with many stops on the way for viewing.

Zion.....make sure you walk the Narrows. It's a hike that is 50% in the water that goes through beautiful canyons.

Sorry this is long, but one last thing. If you've never seen or heard of this, look for the National Parks Passport Book at any of the National Parks stores. Each park has stampers and stamps at each visitor center where you can stamp the book with the date you were there. Parks like Yellowstone have 7 of them. It's fun to look at the book when you return some day and stamp again.
