Hi Scott,
You may recognize me as we have communicated in the past. We signed up about two weeks ago and this will be our 4th or 5th Gathering. Lost count. We have been going to Lazydays at least once a year since 2003. The wife loves to kick tires but me not so much. For anyone who has not been to Lazydays in Sefner it is an interesting dealership with a Flying-J and Cracker Barrel on site. Use to have a Camping World on site but Camping World pulled out and moved east on I-10 a few miles. Lazydays put their own store in the same building Camping World was in. I prefer the product selection in the Lazydays store over what Camping World has. This is a huge dealership and the only one we have been to where you almost have to have an appointment to get a salesman. They stay very busy, especially in the winter. There are two campgrounds on site, the resort were the Gathering will be held and the exchange campground were customers park their old and new rigs side by side as they trade.
If you would like to meet some of the old pros like Van Williams and Craig French, then come to the Gathering. For the past several years Van and Craig have given a seminar on the Watts link and the TRW swap. Sadly Bill Duckwitz and Fred White who started the group have passed on. David Pratt is the owner of the Yahoo Group now and continues to carry on what Bill and Fred started. It is always great to meet back up with the same friends and meet new ones. YC1, Myron, retired and moved from Sacramento to Florida and comes to the Gathering each year now. Last year he helped me R&R our water heater while we were there. Craig and Van usually go around and check out folks suspension and steering and Chris Throgmartin from Stone Vos is always there giving presentations and inspecting members roofs, slides, awnings, and toppers for problems. There is usually a presentation from M&M Electrons and Bill Groves is always there. Bill Groves has extensive knowledge of the Multiplex system and has the equipment to make programming changes. Each year that we have been there Tyron, Cummins, and Allison have given presentations.
So if you would like to attend some of these presentations, meet some great folks who have vast knowledge of Monaco products, eat a lot of food, and just plain have fun, by all means come to the Gathering this year.
Bob

To add to Bob's comments. I now know how to use the fancy microwave/convection oven in the dual cooking mode.
The resturant next to the pool has some great food and really neat atmosphere.
The presentation concerning the handling issues has made a lot of happy campers. I drove cross country and back with confidence and comfort after many of the improvements shown at the gathering.
The buffet each evening is quite good too.

I'd said: " ...and all the other folks here on irv2 also! ..."
Oops! Should have added the 'Bill D's Monacoers' folks as well.
