I know that this topic has been discussed to death and I have read all the archieves about this subject. One thing that has never been discussed is how does the steering stablizer work in the corners?? I understand how it centers itself on the highway but how does it work when you turn a corner??Is it harder to turn the wheel or?????. I have a 2005 holiday Rambler sceptre 38 PDQ and want to purchase this system but there are things I don't quite understand..Hope someone can enlighten me on this question..Thx..Ted

Ted, Your power steering pump overcomes the centering forces in the Tru-Center when you are going lock to lock. You are not going to feel much if anything at all when using a steering damper.

The damper does all of what it needs to do when the wheels are pointing straight ahead.

NOTE that Driver's reply applies to all of them, not just Blue Ox

I like the Blue Ox True Center because if for any reason it need adjustment, I can do it, with my seat belt on (in fact I highly recommend having the belt on when adjusting) in under 30 seconds from the driver's seat.

That's the only one I know of that is that easy to adjust.

NOTE: The manual says stop first... I recommend moving very slowly the first time.. I can imagine some RVer pushing that button for the first time at 55mph.

Ever watch those Movies or TV shows where a novice pilot has to land the airliner and when he turns off the auto pilot he comes that close to crashing?

BELIEVE IT.

We now have over 4000 miles with the Blue Ox Tru Center. Love it. In turns you will notice you no longer have to return the wheel to neutral. With the stabilizer it returns to center like you car would, not requiring you to manually return the wheel to center. We adjust ours at highway speeds and have not had a problem (as recommended by the factory tech that installed it). Only hold the button in for 2 seconds and it's centered.

If our rig is properly aligned,,, it should return to center on it's own.

However the Blue Ox does make it happen faster and better.

I have to admit I love mine too.. True story:

IN Jan 2006 I left Detroit for Las Vegas... It was a relief to drive the towed once I got there.

In November 2006 I headed again for Los Vegas... And when I got there, Man was that towed hard to drive (Suqierly)

Sme Damon Intruder Motor home,, Same Chey Lumin APV towed,, The exact same... The difference...

Summer of 2006 I installed both the Blue Ox True Center and a Davis Tru-Trac trac bar.

I did not notice the differences so much when driving (Save the 1st time I pushed the blue ox button while moving see my last post about the novice pilot in the airliner) but man, what a difference it made!!!!!!
