Bosch motor for carefree door awning

I have a 2006 Diplomat with the door awning(by Carefree)that has a Bosch motor all rusted as most that have this model----Looking to replace the motor only---Looking for where others have purchased a replacement motor?????? I found that it is a wiper Regulator system and that Amazon has the Bosch for $79 but I am just feeling out if anybody can beat that price.

You might try looking at an auto parts store and see if they can match it up. I know a lot of people use a window regulator motor for a step motor replacement.

I think I found the motor that will work on Door Awning---it's a 1998-2004 Volvo (Bosch) wiper motor!!!! Ya

Is it rusted so badly it won't work or just looking bad? If just bad clean it up as well as you can and use rust encapsulating paint on it. You'll probably have to topcoat it also as most aren't UV resistant.

I had the same problem with my 2006 Diplomat . When I took the awning down and removed the motor I hit it directly with 18.8 volts from a cordless drill battery and that jolted it back into action and its been fine since I cleaned it up and sealed it. On another note if you removed the awning take a close look at the brackets that the awning mounts to. Monoco did a bad job of sealing them. I had a leak that was driving me crazy if the nose was lower then the rear in heavy rain I would get water in the right front corner near the firewall. It would leak behind the bracket go down over the top of the door and follow the door frame all the way down and the water would soak that little peice of carpet on the other side of the grab rail.
