This was our 3rd attempt at buying a Motorhome...The first one A Cayman 35sbd was wrecked by dealer day after we bought it. The Second was from Beaudry Cayman 37pbd in Tuscon that we put a deposit on and drove 1000 miles round trip only to find it a mess. Was intresting that Dealer said to me he needed to know if we were serious buyers.
The 08 Neptune we bought at Pomona show from a smaller local Dealer at 25% of sticker and NADA whosale on our Tropical. Good deal but not Great and that was with some help from Monaco rep who was a nice guy by the way.
So we went from a 35sbd to a 37pdb to a 39pbt all within 5k of each other.
all I can tell you is do your Homework first as we were very lucky to have the first Motorhome deal canceled.

Hi Warren, you may remember me since I ask you a few questions about your Tropical because we both had the same model. I could never get mine to handle well enough for a relaxing trip. On our first long trip we knew we had to go to a longer wheel base to completely stop all the tail wagging the dog stuff which required constant steering. We never even went home from that trip and traded for a 2006 Monaco Diplomat 40PDQ. The coach is a little larger than we had planned on but rides and handles like a dream. I did some research and knew that I wanted to go to a Roadmaster chassis with the 8 air bags. What a difference.

Good luck with your new Neptune. We also considered a Neptune but decided to go used to take some of the sting out of buying the last one new and only keeping it 3 and 1/2 months.

Bob

Bob
we put 12k miles on the Tropical along with 5 trips to factory and one 6 week trip to Dealer. I did get the Tropical to handel well but that was with adjusting air ride, front end aling, weighing all 4 corners and adjusting front tires to 75psi and a full tank of water. The Tropical was good value for the money and it was a good looking motorhome. It just seamed like we were either waiting for an appontment to go in for repairs or waiting to pick it up. I have to say we wont miss it...good luck with your new Monaco...
