Ed,

We have a 2006 Diplomat which I believe is the same as your Endeavor. Yes, ours is pure air brakes and not air over hydraulic. We have the Roadmaster proportional air brake for the toad:
Roadmaster Inc. - Tow Bars, Braking Systems & RV Accessories

It requires a direct connection to the coach air brake system and works excellent. It is not difficult to install and requires very little storage space.

Bob

I have an 07 Diplomat and I have pure air brakes. I purchased the US Gear Unified proportional Tow Brake because my coach was wired for it. I thought is was a good choice because when I reasearched all the different proportional braking (all looked good) but alot of the MH MFG's wire there coaches and recommend US gear, so I felt that was the way to go and so far it has worked great.

Re: Towed brake systems.. I will tell you of two systems.

1: M&G, The M&G Air over hydraulic (This refers to the towed brakes only) system if used on a motor home with pure hydraulic brakes such as mine includes an aux-compressor to provide air pressure for operation and a hydraulically operated control valve

NOTE that even though I drive a gasser, I considered this sytem. however one of the issues with it is that some toweds it will not fit upon

Mine is one of them.

Page 2:

However, unlike the next system I will mention there is not much in the way of adjustment..

The US-Gear Unified Brake Decelarator system,, Is an electric over hydraulic (Again refers to the towed) system which can be used with ANY motor home.. Rumor has it it can be used with any tow vehicle that has a standard progressive controller such as a Tekonsha P-3, but I've not tested THAT)

This system is progressive (The harder I stand on the brakes,, The harder it stands on the brakes, well, pulls on the brakes)

The system is porprotional.. You can adjust the gain (How hard it brakes as compared to how hard you brake)

True story... I should know.. Read on

Monday I was crossing I-275/I-74 north of Cincinnatti approaching exit 7 when a passing motorist got my attention (He yelled FIRE!) Pulled off and did a walk around

The hitch assembly consists of a main cross member which is bolted to the frame rails via L brackets.. BOTH brackets had broken off, the only thing connecting the car to the motor home was the electrical wires.. The car... stopped.. EXACTLY where it should have stopped (I suspect the final break in the bracket occured AFTER I stopped, but still.. with only a metal thread holding, that the car was stopped EXACTLY where It belonged.. Amazing)

this told me two things

1: US-Gear system (Which I have) VERY GOOD
2: My current gain setting.... Also very good. don't mess WITh it!
