DW finally managed to break one of the window latches on our 03 Diplomat. Been asking her to make sure latch was locked in 'open' position before closing windows for 3 years but to no avail.

Well, she managed to snap the black plastic latch off the passenger slide up window. It is heavy plastic but I don't think glue will do the job. Latch is riveted to the window frame but could be drilled out.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Does anyone know where a new latch could be found?

Richard.....you might want to take a piece of flat stock steel, the same thickness as the plastic latch, bend it so it has a lip like the plastic one and then grind it into the same shape.

Richard,

This has come up a few times and I had saved the web site for future reference. I have been afraid that someday one of ours will break.

You can find them here.

Thanks for the quick replies. I'll buy a couple of them for spares.

The repair latch includes a matching screw and nut which replaces the rivet.
