For years I used dryer fabric softener sheets to remove bugs from the front of my vehicles and windshields. The big problem with the fabric sheets is that they leave a messy residue that is a pain to wash off. About a year ago I discovered that bugs were removed just as easily and without the residue by using Prestone Bug Wash and a paper towel.

I recently read the article in Motorhome Magazine about the bug remover put out by Coil-n-Wrap.

I ordered this product and used it for the first time yesterday. It works slightly better than the Prestone Bug Wash. Of course the big advantage of the Prestone is that you can buy it at any Wal*Mart.

Thanks for the tip, I have used a variety of different products, all work okay....I was going to try the coil-n-wrap....guess I will just go over to Wal Mart and get the Prestone product.

I bought the Coil-n-Wrap stuff last summer and thought "The Solution" and a bug sponge worked better and had some wax protection after I was done.

Another vote for the Simple Green. I use the standard concentrate and dilute it 50/50. Spray it on and let it sit for a minute or so. Only downside is sometimes it streaks when it dries, even with lots of water. May try the Coil-n-Wrap though if it dries without streaking. Never liked the dryer sheets, they left a residue and had to use a window cleaner to get off.

It has been reported that Simpl Green containes 2-Butoxyethanol
I'm not sure I'd use it as 2-Butoxyethanol is use as a solvent in paints.
