We have an 07 Camelot. The fuel guage only goes to 3/4. Is there a way to adjust it at the sending unit? Anyone have this problem?

zman -- When you fuel, press the manuel button on your air level pad, then lower the coach opposite the side you`re filling on -- That way you can get a full tank, & then check your guage -- Bill Willard

zman, while I was at the Harrisburg Service Center last month I had the techs calibrate my fuel gauge on my 08 Camelot. He said it was off by displaying 1/4 of a tank too much. He used a device that goes into the tank and then took measurements of the tank height and calibrated accordingly. I asked if he was confident in his adjustments and he said he's done hundreds and he knows they are correct. When I fueled coming home it took 69 gallons and the gauge read about half so I feel confident he's right since I have a 130 gallon tank. You might want to contact the service center and perhaps they can talk you through the procedure.

On my 2007 Cayman: The access port to the fuel sensor is located about 18" from the sensor. When you take off the access panel you have to reach in and go to the left about a foot. This make is d--- uncomfortable to calibrate to full. Zero is set at the factory and is sealed, so don't try to adjust that. The 30 sec. time frame to adjust is impossible because of the damping in that it takes more than 30 seconds for the needle to reach it's final point. I'm on my third sensor and still no success. When you finally get it calibrated to show full with a full tank, the needle goes above full when you start. Still scratching my head (not much hair left).

How about adjusting it while the engine is running?

Yup- there is a small phillips screw(it takes a small phillips screwdriver) on the front right side of the sender that you can adjust.
Clock wise makes the gage go towards full.
Adjust it with the motor running and turn the screw a little at a time and wait a minute or two and then check your gage.

It helps to initially adjust to past full and back down in small increments until guage reads full. Also important to wait for the needle to settle. I got impatient the first time I calibrated and overadjusted.

This is on my list to get fixed also. Ours is full when you top it off. 20 or so miled later you have 3/4 tank. poor mileage on that 1/4. The rest seems ok

I have a 75 gal tank and I've only seen mine register full 2 or 3 times since I bought it. Like UPS 34 that only lasted for about 20 miles or so. It likes to move around alot between the 3/4 and 1/2 mark but appears to be somewhat more stable below 1/2. However, I don't trust it so I fuel up around 300 miles.
Question I have is how this affects the generator. Obviously, it will shut off if the fuel gets below the pickup tube but is there a shutoff point prior to that which is tied into the fuel gauge reading?

I had same problem on our 2008 Dynasty, Took it in to Shop in Minnesota, they determined it was a bad sensor, after changing sensor, It will not come off full mark, I have been told that the New Dynasty's cannot be adjusted. I checked wiring into fuel tank & Cannot get current, Fuse is ok, Gauge on dash goes to full when key on & Empty when Ignition is shut off, I cannot figured why I cannot get Juice at top of tank, Any ideas?????
