Camera replacement options

Is there an acceptable upgrade for the mirror mounted cameras for a 2004 Monaco Signature Series? I am replacing my mirror support arms and was wondering if there is a camera that does a better job than the Intec ones that are OEM.

I see that some coaches have cameras mounted on the side of the coach. Is this feasible?

My answer to your first question is that I don't know if there is a better replacement for the OEM cameras. But to answer your second question the camera mounted on the side is absolutely feasible. In fact I highly recommend putting an after market installation on the coach in this manner. I installed a complete system from Rear View Safety that upgraded from B&W to color with side mounted cameras activated by the turn signals. This is probably what you have now but with the side camera location being a custom install I was able to locate by trial and error to obtain the best view possible. It has saved us from trip disaster many times over.

You may be able to purchase these type of cameras and splice them into the existing wiring. They are not that expensive.
