Ok, is there a nice campground around the factory in Coburg? We want to park the MH Wednesday and "run" the daughter back to Portland. Then we would tour the factory Thursday morning. Friday morning we plan on starting back to Minnesota. The plan is to take Highway 126 to Highway 20 (did that today from Redmond to Albany)...Whee!!!

SRT,
There is a nice campground across the highway from all of the Coburg RV stores and the Monoco Factory. I beleive it's called "Premier RV Park". A lot of the higher end motorhomers are there. There is also a "regular guy" campground off of "Pearl Rd" which is close to the factory and the rv dealers. This place is called Kamping World with a "K".
Also about 5 miles away in Eugene there is a nice rv park called "Dearwood".

Happy Travels,

AKBrick

SRT...
Even the owner of Premier Resorts won't stay there because it is so noisy from the freeway noise. (He told someone that - honest)...but it is the closest to Coburg. Eleven miles south of there is Deerwood RV Park...which is where you will find MonacoMama and Sacs will be there on Wednesday also...but then...I am partial to the park ...and it is comparably priced to the other two.

OK, looks like we'll stay at DeerWood. Looks like it is far enough off I-5 to be quiet. Probably call them today and make reservations for Wednesday and Thursday.

We may be in Eugene on the 21st and 22nd of October.

We have looked up Deerwood RV Park's web site and it looks very nice we have to admit, but they unfortunately don't display their rates. What should we expect to pay per night?

You are usually at $34.63 plus tax (Good Sam-AAA-MonacoMama rates)
That is full hook-ups including cable TV, with access to laundromat and 2 private baths...

SRT,
You'll love the place. Very well manicured. CheetahGirl and I stayed there a few nights and were able to have dinner with MonocoMama and SacsTC. Hey, we may actually be over there on Wednesday afternoon visiting with M.M. while the coach is in the paintbooth. Hope to meetcha!

We'll probably come drifting in late morning. After a quick set up we'll be blasting off to Portland to deliver the daughter. Should be back late afternoon.

Deer Wood sounds like a nice place. We're currently in Janzten Beach RV Park on the Columbia River about 4 blocks west of I-5. This place has gotten noisier - planes taking off (those F-18's are really noisy!) from PDX, transport trucks to and from an auto auction, and crotch rockets.

SRT...
Deerwood is a "dream" compared to the other parks around...but it does help with the dual paned windows also

AK..I thought you guys were coming on Tuesday??

Huh? Tuesday? Man....my memory is shot already. If it wasn't for CheetahGirl's superhuman memory, I'd be lost! I've already got OTD! (oldtimers disease). Don't be surprised if CheetahGirl gives you a call to help her find me. I might be sitting on top of Junction City's water tower.

We will keep you posted on when we will be arriving "in your back yard".

If we rustle up a few of Danish snacks and put a couple of drinks in the fridge, would you consider an invite to come and see us in our home away from home?

MM - would you come? We are not really dangerous Vikings - we just look that way. If you bring the pins we will lock up our pet polar bear somewhere safe for the evening.
