I am trying to post a few photos. I uploaded the pic to a free image hosting site and then pasted the URL in the proper photo link in the message. But it only shows the URL and no photo? Tried Tinypic and it does not work either. What am I doing wrong??

Thanks

Make sure you're using the URL for the picture as opposed to the URL for the page the picture is on. Common mistake.

The picture URL is found by right clicking on the actual picture then clicking properties. The URL you need will be in the pop up box opened when you click properties, you can cut and paste it.

Another common problem encountered is trying to use a photo file that's too large. 40k - 50k shows up nice, they don't need to be so large.

If these suggestions don't solve your problem, make your post here and leave the faulted results for me to look at.

We also have a nice tutorial on photos that might help.

Good luck.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/4...0977qs0.th.jpg </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Lose the custom URL= code. Click our 'Image' icon along the top of the Post A Reply window and paste your URL into it. I'll do it here:

Seems you're getting plenty of good help, I'll bow out.

The tutorials are featured at the top of the Website Help forum if you need them.

I bet you are sick of seeing that photo???
I still co not know what is happening. When I click and paste into the image box I get that double IMG in brackets. I have to manually delete them?? Should I just put the photo into the URL box instead? Thanks for the help
