Hope someone can help. I have a 2005 Monaco Dipolomat DPQ. While returning home from a nice week of camping the door awning started vibrating wildly it looked like it was going to open up. I had this happen once before so I had taken some zip ties and tied it shut . This was happening at speeds above 60. If I tried to do 65 it would get really bad. So kept it at 60. I should say this is one of the manual opening awnings.

cabin man....we had this happen the first day we drove the coach home and had to tie the front arm with a cord from my sweatshirt. I later discovered that Carefree makes a lock that locks the arms. In 2005, I called Carefree and complained and they sent me two of them. You only need to use one. The lock is two interconnecting pieces. One piece slides into the arm. Once its in, you slide it down into the other piece and mark two holes on the exterior of the coach. Remove the pieces and drill the holes out. You attach the stationary piec and your done. It locks by sliding the one in the arm down over the stationary piece. We've never had a problem since.

Sorry...I already gave the other lock away, but saw that they sold them at my local RV store. I looked at Carefree's site and didn't see them there. You may want to call them.
