Bob - I`m very lucky to have Harry & the Danes stop by -- However, when I get the wax & buffer out, they seem to vanish --
My awning is probably the same as yours -- We didn`t remove the awning, just the end pieces, & adjusted the motor stop so I can slide the fabric out -- Harry did point out where you were having the problem -- Bill

Maybe I need to take Harry's course on removing the end caps just in case I need to do that in the future. What is the trick?

There are two tabs on the back, one on the top and one on the front of the end covers. There are none on the bottom.
Yippee, yippee, I replaced the tube motor with genuine Carefree of Colorado part from Amazon. Only $83.00.
