I am now the new owner of a 2004 Cayman 36PDQ, I was aware of the issues relating to trailing arms and the chap I bought it from agreed to a price reduction to allow for their replacement.
I have read with great interest the posts relating to this problem and decided to purchase the 'new' Monaco arms & their Ride package too.
Part of the delivery arrived today which was the ride package, however there were only 2 air bags - the Source website shows 4 does anyone know if I am short of 2 airbags. I have emailed Monaco but they sometimes take a little while to respond.

Also the 'Stor' lights on the kerb side are not working & I would like to find out where the fuse is located to check it.

Hope someone can help

Regards

Arthur

If the coach is on the RR4R chassis which I believe it is, them it has the trailing arm problem. The RR4R means it should have 4 shocks and 4 air bags.

I can't put my finger on the info about Monaco's REK, but I thought I read that they were only replacing 2 of the airbags. I'm not positive about that so if you haven't received an answer to your e-mail give their parts department a call at 877-466-6226. Let us know what you find out.

I have just received a reply from Bob Presson in Monaco's Tech department, He tells me that their REK has 2 Air bags for the front - the kit I have been supplied with has the 2 air bags, a ping tank, 4 Koni shocks, some brass fittings & two lengths of plastic air line.

I am now waiting for the delivery of the trailing arms and some instructions which Bob tells me are similar to those shown on the Source web site.

Will keep you posted

Arthur.
