I am wanting to install a Ceiling Fan in the Bedroom of My 2005 Camelot. Does anyone know if the wiring is there and any supports that will hold an RV Ceiling Fan?

While we were at the Factory Service Center in Elkhart, (when it was still open) I inquired about having a fan installed. There quote was over $1,000 as it required the additional support in the ceiling. We opted for a portable fan. You might want to give Tech Support a call. They would be able to tell you if the wires are there and what support is available.

Thanks Chuck. I believe that might be the case. I will get a Fan and set it on the shelf. Thanks for the reply.

There's a company in Fl. that does all kinds of upgrades including fans. They specialize in ceiling treatments of all kinds. I can't remember the name at the moment. I'd like to have one in the living room!

After looking at the Bedroom Ceiling some more I don't know where I would put it that would allow it to clear the slides when they close. My AC is in the middle and then the two bedroom lights on each side.
I going to do some more studying on this.
Thanks for the replies.

I just sold a American Dream and the fan was recessed into the ceiling about 4 inches, this took care of the motor and raised up the blades for extra height. Fan blades were about 3ft. and the recess was about 4 ft. They also added back lighting in the recess, all of the upholstery matched the ceiling perfect. There were AC vents and two lights on each side also. I think the company is in Winterhaven, or something like that close to Tampa and Orlando.

If the fan was an option that year, I'm sure the wiring is hiding somewhere in the wall. I installed one in my 07 Camey. The wires were already in the wall. I pulled the 120 outlet and dug around. Finding the wires in the ceiling was the tricky part. I guessed where it would have been installed and cut a 4 inch hole to get my hand into and feel around. It was within a couple inches of my hole. I used some 3" x 8" 3/4" plywood as backing plates. Used a 1/4" acrylic disc the same size as the motor cover, between the ceiling and the mounting plate to hide my hole and screwed the mounting plate into the plywood strips. The disc also kept the mounting plate from digging into the ceiling to much. Worked like a champ.

Nice Job. Do you have the information on the fan? Mine has the dreaded tic tic tic and I cannot get it resolved. I replaced the bearings and it still does it. I would like to replace it because it does a great job.

Thank Carl on the install. Did you put yours in the Kitchen area? I want to put mine in the Bedroom and since you and I have the same floor plan (PDQ) they should be the same. Great job you have done.
