Did a search and didn't find anything, so here goes. I have an 05 Executive with the factory ceiling fan. It started making a little noise a few weeks ago. So I figured I would take the fan off and see if it needed grease or something. I removed the nut thinking the fan blade housing would simply pull off....wrong!...It appears to be a pressed fit or similar....anyone ever removed the fan blade part and if so are there any serviceable parts inside..??,,thanks....Dennis

Dennis, The motor is a sealed unit and is of poor quality, so the only way to quite it down is to replace it. Or in our case drop it on the cement patio and have it magically be fixed.

PS: Mega parts has the best price.

Executive -- You can pry the blades off with a flat blade screw driver, but like Mike said, nothing to fix -- I took mine off, with the intention of replacing it with a 110v fan, but after seeing the blocking, or lack of, I felt it was not sufficent to hold the heavier motor -- So, I still have the noisy, wobbly DC fan -- Mike -- You should be more careful - Bill Willard

Dennis,
I have a 2007 Endeavor with the ceiling fan, In addition to the nut holding the blades there is a "C-Clip" that is on the shaft to hold the blades in case the nut falls off. You also might want to check the angle or level of the blades. Use a ruler or yardstick and see if all the blade tips are at the same height. When they are uneven the blades try to "fly" and create a clicking noise.

Dennis, thanks for that tip. The C clamp makes sense. I just couldn't see it. I'll check the angle of the blades as well. The fan works well, it's just that every now and again it will make a noise like the motor needs grease.....I will check it out tomorrow...thanks again..Dennis
