Central NY to Topsail Hill Preserve via Seagrove NC
We are headed twards Topsail April 25th stopping in Seagrove, NC for a pottery thing (DW).
We plan on going down 81 to 77 then cutting over to Seagrove.
From there, it's either back over to 85 thru Atlanta on Sunday around late afternoon, early evening or southeast on 95 to I10 and across.
Any thoughts?

On I77 in NC you pass Mt Airy which was the childhood home of Andy Griffith and the inspiration for the town of Mayberry. The Mayberry campground is close by and the town is worth a stop over. The campground is clean and well maintained. It's also a Passport America park.

If you have specific questions about this area let me know. I've spent all my 42 years of life here and know it well. Mayberry campground mentioned earlier is also very nice. We stay there 2-3 times a year. The owner there is also a great guy and we love the downtown area.

Another thought is that it seems simpler to me to go to 220 in Roanoke Va as it goes right to Seagrove. I travel this at least 4 times per year and think is easier. The road is lanes almost all the way
On another note one of our favorite places to stop to eat is at Mrs Rowes right off 81 in Stanton Va ( exit 222 and east on the same road as a Cracker Barrel )
I agree Chad on the campsite and maybe he and I have to get together as it looks like I live just north of him in Level Chross

I see you are in "Richard Petty Ville". You are not too far away, maybe about an hour. Good to have a fellow Rv lover close by. Seems like most of the fellows on here are west of Mississippi, not that that's bad. Maybe we will meet up sometime.

Looked at all the suggestions, Thanks!
I guess we are going to shoot for Crosswinds, and head south from there thru Atlanta on Sunday mid to late afternoon.
We like to take the Jeep and explore the local area so the hour from Crosswinds to Seagove will give us some time to poke around.
